本作品以小步舞曲的形式寫成，靈活輕巧的節奏，搭配鍵盤打擊樂器精巧而活潑的音色，兩者相得益彰。重奏版本中，可以聽到演奏者之間不同音色與演奏技法的交替對話，彷彿樵夫走在山中迆邐前行的樣子，背上的柴薪搖晃敲擊，嘎嘎作響；本作品可供鍵盤打擊獨奏、二聲部或三聲部重奏，並可依獨奏者程度自由選用一級或二級版本，具有高度演奏彈性，增進鍵盤打擊初學者的學習動機與成就感。

The piece is composed in Minuet. The combination of lively rhythm and the delicate timbre of mallet instrument creates a fresh atmosphere to the music. In trio version, various timbre and playing methods is alter between mallets as if the woodmen walking in the forest and the firewood creaking. The solo, duet, and trio with Grade 1 and 2 version can be chosen depends on the level of players. It provides flexibility for the performance, increasing the learning motivation and the sense of achievement for beginners.
