‘More than Friends’ was originally composed by Taiwanese singer-songwriter Sky Wu. The plain melody was introduced through a melancholic and mourning Intro. The text described an ambiguous situation of romance, which people suffered from. The constantly repeated note figure portrayed bewildering emotion, which only burst into a strong feeling of love until Chorus as a confession of the one who sings. The version was adapted to concert band by Japanese composer Hiko Hatano.
