《包楞調》為山東成武縣民歌,最早來自當地廟會民俗活動中,農村婦女錶演時所唱和的曲調,由於歌詞中每句結束,都帶有「緊包楞」的襯詞,在方言中為緊緊相連的意思,因而稱為包楞調。此曲一度隨著廟會活動的沒落而失傳,在山東耆老周金英的傳唱之下,才得以將這種歌詞典雅、旋律奔放的獨特文化遺產保留下來;此版本由日本作曲家樸守賢改編為室內管樂團版本演奏。
“BaoLeng Ditty” is a folk tune from Chengwu County, Shandong. It is originated from the local tune during the temple ceremony take place. Each line of lyric ends with the phrase BaoLeng, which means toconnect closely thus called BaoLeng Ditty. The tune was once lost as the ceremony vanishes. It was revived only until the local elder JinYing Zhou sing the tune to musicologists, the tune was successfull y preserved and carried forward. The concert band version is adapted by Japanese composer Soo Hyun Park.
