《北海小英雄》是日、德、奧三國於1974年合作推出的動畫卡通，1978年在台灣的電視頻道播出，描述維京海盜們一連串的冒險故事，船長的兒子小威只要摸摸鼻子，就能得到靈感，運用智慧帶領大家度過難關；原曲由汪石泉創作，童謠風格的曲風展現出卡通主角人小志氣高的神采，帶給聽眾童稚時的懷舊回憶。由日本作曲家波田野直彥改編為管樂團演奏曲。

‘Vicky the Viking’ is a 1974 animation produced cooperatively by Japan, Germany and Austria. The program was broadcasted on Taiwanese TV channel. The story is about a series of adventure by a group of Vikings. Vicky, the captain’s son, can always lead the team and figure out solutions to get through obstacles just by touching his own nose. Originally composed by Wang Shíh-cyuán, the nursery rhymes style melody portrayed the main character’s childlike ambition, brought the nostalgic memories back to the audiences. The version was adapted to concert band by Japanese composer Hiko Hatano.
