Hao Hua Hong is originally a folk tune from Bouyei people in Huishui, Guizhou, which can be traced back to Qing dynasty. The lyric describes the red flowers blossom among the mountain with metaphor of the desire for love. The melody is gentle and beautiful. The concert bad version is adapted by Japanese composer Louis Kihara.
