“Red Morningstar Lilies Are In Blossom” is a Shaanxi folk tune. The lyric describe the beautiful scenery of Lilies blossom among the mountains when the red army reaches Shaanxi victoriously. The version is adapted by Japanese composer Shimoda Kazuki into Flexible band. The grandeur music quality of the arrangement with 5 parts and percussion instruments is demonstrated by the brilliant instrumentation, which can be played by various numbers of players and instrumentation.

The flexible version is suitable for small ensembles, brass quintets, woodwind quintets, saxophone ensembles, clarinet ensembles, string ensembles, mixed ensembles, and so on.
