‘Paganini Variations’ was a capriccio originally composed by violin virtuoso Niccolò Paganini. The version was adapted to concert band by Japanese composer Hiko Hatano. It is consists of variations with different sections playing the main theme in turn with a distinctive style such as Jazz, Bossa Nova, and March. The variations demonstrated various music elements across genre, fully revealed the flexibility of technique of a concert band.
