Happy Sailing’ is a famous Taiwanese song, originally composed by Japanese composer Kazuo Toyoda in 1958, later translated into Taiwanese by Chén Kun-yuè from Japanese song ‘Hazi Mete No Syukkou.’ The hybrid composition reflected the unique Taiwanese oceanic character with the lively melody. The piece is often heard on the street from speaker van touring during election campaign. Varies layers of orchestration arranged by Yeh Shu-Han have brought back the nostalgic feeling over 60 years ago.
