The piece deprived of the finale of Beethoven’s ninth symphony ‘Choral,’ using the theme ‘Ode to Joy’ as the linkage connected through the whole movement, adding the elements of popular music. The version is adapted to concert band by Japanese composer Hiko Hatano with Jazz style rhythm. The reinterpretation of classics would give rise to the audience’s sympathetic response, and lighten the atmosphere.
