Kang Hūi is an iconic figure of Taiwanese pop music, renowned for interpreting Taiwanese songs. Her sonorous and brilliant voice was loved by all generations of fans. ‘Selections from Jiang Hui II’ is consists of three of her classics ‘Words After Drinking,’ ‘Defeat Each’ and ‘Firecrackers.’ Using the ‘Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral’ of Richard Wagner as the linkage through the whole piece, the fancy and flourishing version was adapted to concert band by Japanese composer Hideaki Miura.
