Johann Strauss jr. composed a great amount of polka’s to perform with his own orchestra that played on ‘dance soirees’ in Vienna. Like the famous polka Donner und Blitz, the Tick-Tack Polka opus 365 is till today often used as interval-music in the operetta Die Fledermaus.
