「高高山上一樹槐，手把欄杆望郎來，娘問女兒望啥子，我望槐花幾時開。」
這首充滿意境的作品，援引四川民歌《槐花幾時開》，歌詞可追溯至清光緒年間。民歌僅短短四句歌詞，以景抒情，充分表述情竇初開的女子羞澀而盼望意中人的情懷。樂曲由雙簧管引出充滿意境的旋律，樂曲中頻頻出現的十六分音符固定插句衍伸自旋律最初始的三個重複同音，也隱喻槐花繽紛綻放的樣子；主旋律其後在各聲部之間輪替，最後收束在充滿田園風格，如牧歌般迴盪在山谷間的遠方信號之間。（羅夫著）

This evocative piece draws inspiration from the Sichuan folk song ” Expecting the Blossom of Scholar tree,” with lyrics dating back to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The folk song’s lyrics are brief, consisting of just four lines, but they vividly express the emotions of a young woman experiencing her first stirrings of love, shy yet hopeful for the affection of her beloved.
The composition begins with the oboe introducing a melody rich in imagery. Throughout the piece, the frequent appearance of sixteenth-note patterns, derived from the initial three repeated notes of the melody, subtly suggests the image of blossoming flowers. The main melody is then passed among various sections of the ensemble, eventually concluding with an idyllic pastoral theme that resonates like a distant signal echoing through the valleys.(Luo Fu Work)
