‘Mazinger Z’ is a 1972 Japanese animation, first appeared on Taiwanese television in 1978 with Mandarin translation and Taiwanese version of theme song, on which this version is based. Due to the limited option of TV programs during 70’ in Taiwan, the animation became a sensation among children right after broadcast. The Theme song was composed by Wang Shíh-cyuán. The nursery rhymes style melody with the feeling of justice had become an iconic song of boosting morale, which set a good example for children viewers. The version was adapted to concert band by Japanese composer Hiko Hatano.
