《第40號交響曲》是莫札特最後三大之中，唯一使用小調的作品，由於G小調那獨特的陰鬱感，因此在當時被稱作《維特交響曲》，然而它又因為那充滿情感的曲調，而被人叫做《浪漫交響曲》，據說這首交響曲眾多愛好者之一的舒伯特曾經說過：「從這首交響曲中，可以聽到天使的聲音。」聖‧安布洛斯基稱譽這三首作品說：「以絕對音樂而論，真的再沒有比它更完美的作品了。」此編曲在寧靜的前奏後加入拉丁打擊樂器形成了強烈具色彩的節奏，將主題襯托如陽光般的燦爛，在多變的節奏中逐漸發展，帶領大家進入新的莫札特世界，各項樂器皆能夠發揮其特色，逐漸將樂曲帶入高潮，是演奏會及表演不可或缺的作品。

Mozart’s 40th symphony is the only symphony in minor key among his late symphonies. The work is known for its sentimental feature and melancholic character, later became one of the most frequently performed symphonies among classical repertoires, and influenced numerous composition of renowned composers such as Beethoven and Schubert.The arrangement was adapted to concert band with Latin music style and percussion instruments.
