《山歌好比春江水》出自1960年中國大陸電影《劉三姐》配樂，作曲者為中國著名電影音樂作曲家雷振邦，故事情節講述廣西女傑歌仙劉三姐為了抵抗地主的暴虐，以民歌詠唱與地主鬥智斗勇。片中大量取用廣西山水實景，是中國大陸第一部風光音樂故事片，上映後在華語地區產生轟動，獲獎無數，有其時代意義。此版本由日本作曲家三國浩平改編為室內管樂團演奏，3級難度版本中，編曲家發揮驚人的巧思，將原曲旋律與拉威爾名作「波麗露」完美結合，凝聚出一股強烈的音樂拉力，使人沉醉其中。

Folk Songs Flow Like Spring River originated from 1960 Chinese movie score “Liu Sanjie” or “Third Sister Liu,” which is composed by renowned composer ZhenBang Lei. The plot is about a heroine singer who fought against the landlord with wisdom and songs. The shooting of the film had taken numerous scene from actual landscape of GuanXi, which is considered to be the first scenery musical movie; it has a significance by causing a hit after released in Mandarin-speaking market. The version is adapted by Japanese composer Mikuni Kohei into concert band. In the grade 3 version, the arranger combined the original piece with Ravel’s Bolero astonishingly, forming a muscular musical force and drag the audience into the magical melody.
