樂曲解說

《紫竹調》是江南地區以吳語演唱的傳統民歌，最初在滬劇中是一段磨豆腐時所唱的歌謠，演員邊歌唱，邊持著過濾豆漿的兩根斑紋竹竿連著紗布搖曳，而稱為紫竹調。樂曲風格秀麗，充滿江南典雅色彩。此版本由日本作曲家三國浩平改編為靈活編制演奏，以五個聲部加上打擊樂器，使各種人數、類型之器樂合奏形式，皆能發揮本作品忠於原著之演奏效果，以爽朗而雋永的風格呈現出江南風光。

靈活編制版本適用於小型管樂團、銅管五重奏、木管五重奏、薩克斯風重奏、單簧管重奏、弦樂團、混合重奏等演奏。

“Purple Bamboo Tune” is a traditional Wu language folk tune at southern Yangtzu River area. The song was at first a piece from Shanghai opera, whilst the actor is making Tofu, holding two bamboo sticks attaching a layer of gauze to filtrate the soya thus called “Purple Bamboo Tune”. The music atmosphere deeply reflects the elegance and beautiful scenery of southern area. The version is adapted by Japanese composer Kohei Mikuni into concert band. The arrangement with lively style is faithful to the original tune.

The flexible version is suitable for small ensembles, brass quintets, woodwind quintets, saxophone ensembles, clarinet ensembles, string ensembles, mixed ensembles, and so on.
