此曲集為作曲人於指導行進鼓的初學者時，希望能透過簡單的節奏組合讓學生感覺到音樂的層次和律動感，因而編寫的曲子，包含三首曲目。
作曲人曾到美國和西班牙，感受到當地人表演鼓類樂器的節奏與律動感，並發現歐美民族的熱情與活潑外放的性格，是華人文化裡少有的一種能量。
即使本系列樂譜裡只有簡單的節奏組合，也希望學生、指導老師以及演奏者們，都能敞開心胸，以輕鬆愉快的心情享受行進鼓的魅力以及樂趣。
