The piece is composed by Japanese composer Misawa Kei. The notion of composition is based on Austronesian culture and islands. The title “Cinedkeran” is Tao (also known as Yami) language from Orchid Island, which means the traditional canoe of Tao people. The piece is a tribute to the brave spirit of all Austronesian ancestors, who had been pioneers of seeking new habitats in the unknown circumstances.

The music begins with the alternate theme of flutes and clarinets, reminds audiences of waves. Ocean drum and other percussion instruments were orchestrated to emphasize on the marine atmosphere. After a brief introduction, the music suddenly turns to Allegro con anima. Using theme presented in the introduction, the allegro variation with lively rhythm symbolizes the scenery of people rowing the canoe facing giant waves.

In the middle paragraph, the music is transposed into a calm C major, as if the night of ocean falls; the canoe is accompanied by starry sky, carrying sleeping rovers. The sixteenth notes appeared in woodwind sections are related to stars. Rovers awake as the reminiscent theme emerges, which leads to the first climax, entering a new world of E-flat major. A beautiful island (Ilha Formosa) with magnificent landscape appears. The grandeur orchestration was adapted to present a whole new chapter of a nation. After a nostalgic fermata chord and a soliloquy of memory, the music goes on with a bright allegro.

At the end of the music, and Austronesian-style melody is presented by brass section, decorated by the variation of woodwinds, forming a spectacular counterpoint. The theme is augmented in the coda with majestic atmosphere. After a short recapitulation of theme, the piece is ended, leaving charming imagination of ocean and island.
