“Green Mountain,” composed and written by Chang Cheh and Yu Ping Deng respectively in 1947, was the theme song from Taiwanese Movie “Alishan Storm” sung by Gu Mei. In 1952, the musician Yau-tai Hwang arranged it to “Alishan Song,” which was later named “Green Mountain.” The song originally aimed at describing the Green mountain and clear water of Alishan, and it later transformed to praise the beautiful girls and handsome boys with indigenous touch.
